"GIA" is a brand that currently consists of 2 main product lines: home decor and homemade food. Their service aims to deliver goods and foods that are high quality and feel close to home. The goal was to have a logo and branding identity that will serve best the characters of the business as a whole while distinguishing the different services they offer.
The above images show the final logo in three color variations (in color, in black and white) so that it can be adaptive when presented on different backgrounds.
The overall logo look is inspired by the curvature, slanted roof, and strong contour of "Kinh Thanh Hue"- an architecture specific to Central Vietnam. The logotype contour and color are meant to evoke the feeling of these traditional architecture and reflect GIA’s business platform, which is in the realm of interior design.
By overlaying the text and a simple shape, the logotype was formed and then rotated to mimic the gate-like architecture. In order to make it look more soft and inviting, I did tweaked the edges and corners of the characters to avoid sharp and pointy details.
