Undeniably, the multiplicity of public transportation is what helps a city to grow and stay connect. Here, I wanted to examine a very cultural important and historical piece of San Francisco. The project wanted to capture the development of muni light rail from when it was first established until 2017 with its additional lines. This infographic project would focus less on graphs and charts, and instead examine a timeline design to imitate a block calendar.
II. INSPIRATION
III. DESIGN DETAILS
With the main theme being maps and transportation, the zoom-in graph was designed to look like a train route with each stop representing a month, indicating the amount of muni riders at that particular point of data.
Muni’s significant events were designed separately from this main poster. These significant events could be cut out individually, bound together, and attached to an allotted space like a block calendar where readers flip to read the information.
